Finding The Light

When everything is dark at night

When the sun sets and the moon shines

I sit in the corner waiting for some light

Telling myself its gonna be fine

But the clock starts ticking

And my heart starts to pound

My faith starts flickering

And I wish for a sound

Broken, I turn to him

And join my hands

Asking to take me in

And away from this strange land

Then as the clock strikes midnight

A bright light comes from inside my heart

Which takes away all my fright

And shows me a way to a new start

Now at night

I see the stars

Finding light

Not the scars.
