Faithless.

I waited for the ray of light,

While my eyes were watching God.

But the light never came,

Because the night was too long,

All hell was breaking loose.

So it was with my stony heart,

That doubted God.

Refusing to be contained,

Overpowering emotion.

Until nothing remained,

Not even the notion.

I was blindsided by reality,

Subjected to the formality

Of the faithless.

Leaning on my faith less and less.

As I sit here hating,

I feel so hopeless,

For my body is fighting,

And here am so faithless.
