Elope Away With Love

I was a queen in my palace,
Before you came;
Trodding on your Trojan horse,
I eloped with you
To a land far away;
I knew nothing about.
Where we were heading;
Flowing brooks,
and dark skies,
beautifies by l’il fireflies;
The aura enchanted with the crickets’ hum..
You halted by a cave,
I saw you were a king.
But of rags,
and that came as a cling;
I thought I was wrong,
To love a man of rags-
Is not for what I was born;
I had to get back to where I belong.

 

That night, In the cave
So cold,
You shut my eyes with kisses four;
But I couldn’t sleep:
Heart said stay,
Mind said go away!!
“Life is a mind game”-
Once father had told;
I got up, gathered strength;
Vanquished my heart
And flew away with the wind!

I came back to be the Queen again
But the old flavor was lost,
I knew something I did was not working all along,
Me without You :
Was like a saga still to be written..

Now I decided,
With the hold of my firm mind-
I’d elope like I once did,
To live with you,
Forever as one..
But just God be with me-
I reached your cave :
You accepted me with a tear and a smile;
Like I was always yours,
And you were waiting for me all along.

From riches to rags-
Am still the Queen,
As long as you’re with me;
This night,
Together we lay again,
You shut my eyes yet again,
Four kisses so gentle,
I feel blessed to sleep beside you this night,
With a low fire burning beside, keeping us warm all night
I curl up in your arms,
As we lay together inter-wined.
