Dream Toy!
Dream Toy!
Walking through the streets
Of the town, I was brought up in
I saw that shop again
I saw that toy again
As a nomadic kid growing up
In that small but beautiful town
That shop was opened up
Seeking my attention like a clown
The reason! Oh it was damn easy
The story wasn't all that breezy
That toy! I always wanted to buy
That toy! I just could never buy
There were daily doses of dreams
That I have the toy in my hands
Only to wake up through the creams
With the thought of toy in the trends
Time passed and life caught on
The town was left far behind
Some maturity was brought on
With all the work and its grind
In the exams which life took daily
I got through both failures and success
Though new dreams came happily
Old ones paid off like taxes with cess
But then here I was again finally
In the town which too had grown
The shop brought a smile naturally
This particular time, I had won
The toy was there still alluring
One of the old wishes was live again
The line between me and toy started blurring
And the toy was bought without any strain
With that, the toy became a possession prized
At least one of the old dreams well-realized
No matter how big or small it was actually
Just that at last, it was fulfilled finally
