Democracy

The constitution written the longest,

Completes 68 years today and yet to be the strongest.

All our soldiers who fought and won but lost their lives,

But the country has still not given back what they deserved and hatred thrives.

The coin designed during independence bears a roaring tiger at the back,

But in the front has a face of the ruler who ruled us and took us aback.

The architects who designed our buildings where we sit now and decide,

Also belongs to the country which took away our pride.

It’s been 70 years of celebrating Independence and we still fight,

Because of some leaders who divide us and think they are right.
