To many, you may be just thread and decoration,

But, to me, you symbolize love and tradition,

You represent so many emotions

Love, friendship and exceptions.

To be tied together forever

Come what may whatsoever.

To protect, respect, and honour

The feelings of all wearers.

Rakhi, you divine instrument

Of faith, beliefs and commitments,

Uphold forever all these feelings

And cement them as memorials.
