Fear grips as "it" enters our territory

This is what we always did remotely foresee

Contain the virus, distance yourself, the world echoes

And inside we step to break the chain, now we are ALL "CONTAINED'

How long we ask not sure though

Will I be its victim is the itch of each soul

The world is disrupted, causalities rising

Who is next, no one knows

Risking their life, the Healers stand strong

Today we applaud, their spirit, the efforts, the 'Hippocratic oath' they have sworn

Silent streets, hummingbirds, clear sky, the sight of dolphins

Nature is healing they say, this is our true calling

Its creatures wonder where did the haughty human disappear

As if they laugh at us and say 'Oh boastful man to the tiny Corona you surrender'

Some are safe inside, few outside with no shelter

Isolation bought realizations, connecting hearts that were sealed

Shame on us for those blessings never counted

The day we step out, unlock the barriers

Humble yourself, relearn the values

Tears will roll as we breathe, the freedom to walk on the streets

Smiles to unknown and hugs to friends and loved ones

Let then charity flow like a ritual always done

Those hands will be valued who mopped, cleaned our houses

and salute to the uniform, the nation protectors in different forms

Dissolve the disputes and wake up with no grudges

Arrive with a new skin

Let this lockdown bring back the humanity we lost....
