Circle Of Life...

Circle Of Life...

I watched the high waves crash away at the shore,

Beating the jutting rocks hard and sore,

Wriggling through to the soft sands yonder,

Lashing away at the regal precipice once such a wonder.

But the marching minutes of time did move on,

And the gushing waves did recede anon.

The rigid rocks did withstand the furious wrath of the open seas,

The wet grains of sand did struggle to clasp the vacant shores,

The breezy calm low waters did set in,

And the fresh fragrant patter of water ripples did return.

Many a hurdle does life throw ashore,

Whipping our very being with challenges galore.

The cruel reigns of depression creep through the darkest corners of intelligence,

Wringing away into the delicate fabric of calm and bliss.

But the never-stopping sands of the hourglass do tumble,

And the gloomy forts of pain and distress do crumble.

The mighty footmen of resilience do fight through,

The chasms of despair do tear apart with hopes anew.

Here lies the eternal truth of life we make for us,

Behind bad times, will always ride the promise of paradise.

And we will live on…
