Chennai Agony

Natures' fury, knows no bounds.
Spelt a disaster.
World gloomy,
Slept in a river of sorrow.

Water emerged all over Chennai,
gushed to the top,
swept many lives.

Roads flooded like a river,
young and old,
rich and poor,
all in silence shook their head,
silently prayed.           

Amazing  display of unity,
doors unknown opened,
rescued lives,
amidst  many hurdles.

Humanity is the philosophy,
kindness is the gem.
Care for mother nature,
we need to nurture.
