Born To Fly
Born To Fly
Born in a golden cage, wasn't she meant to fly?
With all the happy things around, Why all the cry?
With wings as magnificent as her's, She could rule the sky
But not a being in existance did let her fly.
Looking at the sky one night,
With a tear very slight,
She wondered about her plight;
After all, who gave them the right?
To fly high was her only goal,
But who would understand her little soul?
Ages she passed in that little cage,
She couldn't turn even a single page.
That dawn she finally knew,
They could never catch her if she flew.
They unlocked the cage and put in her meal,
It was time for her to bravely deal.
With a blink of an eye she rushed away,
Never had she been so happy and gay.
She flew higher and higher, up in sky,
And in that moment she knew, she was born to fly.
