Blood, Flesh And Bone

Blood, Flesh And Bone

'Tit for Tat' has always been,

War's motto on which he's keen.

He takes many lives on loan,

And returns but only Blood, Flesh and Bone.

He himself frightens, himself destroys,

Love, life, friendship like toys.

Does not leave barren land alone,

Marks it, too, with Blood, Flesh and Bone.

Humble peace all day long works hard,

To finish this predicament; the cursed card.

'Turn the other cheek' is always her tone,

To destroy supporters of Blood, Flesh and Bone.

War's weapon - destruction and fear,

Clash with peace's love so dear.

Friendship and harmony with pain groan,

Under the weight of Blood, Flesh and Bone.

We, the gullible puppets who reside,

In a world whose fate now war decides,

Need to cut our strings, not moan,

For we are worth more than just

Blood, Flesh and Bone.
