Back In The BC

I wish I was born,

Years before Christ,

Where culture was born,

Harappa - a city with an undeciphered mysterious script,

They had a well-planned city,

With the houses so pretty,

And the people were keen,

On keeping the streets clean,

They ate in mud plates,

Didn't stay awake till late.

With granaries well maintained,

The civilians resided in harmony,

With wells in every house for the passer-by,

I would have lived in a citadel,

On the raised platform in the city,

Where the rulers lived like a committee,

I wish all this was true.

But all I am doing is daydreaming,

And for me dreaming isn't new.
