Rays of light

Peeping through the curtains cracks

Birds chirping

To the earliest light

Roosters crow

Breaking dawn

Sound of trains

Going choo-choo in the distant

Engines roar

As the streets awaken

Beep - beep goes my alarm

Bringing me back from my dreams

Awakening me

To a new day
