AN ODYSSEY TO REMEMBER.....

Wow, it's a new day, a bright May day, a glorious Sunday, every single day! 

This is how many of my days looked like, so alike! 

I could wake up at the break of dawn, or lie in bed and dream of that splendid lush green lawn! 

The populace reeks of terror because of a submicroscopic infectious agent, which isn't so rarer! 

A pandemic strikes; and this cajoles the masses to go on social strikes! 

Home for some, now, looked like honeycomb while for others, a deadly dome! 

I personally experienced both; the joys of freedom and peace with the people I feel at ease; as well as the existential threat of yore by having my time spent with the same people, galore.

But one thing's for sure; my life got the break it so wanted to take! 

Good thing for the internet, it reminded me that there were others of our kind who still thrived on the same planet, our dear mankind! 

Life was hermit like for everyone, friend or foe, alike; and for a change, this seemed strange! 

The new rule became the new cool. Adaptations were quick, didn't take long even for children to pick! 

And although this "New normal" was nothing less than a gag; for a brief period, it even trended as the coolest hashtag! 

THE MOMENT OF TRUTH; that dawned onto me during this lockdown has been nothing short than brute, for I had the realisation that not thinking it as consequential was what was meant by ignoring my potential! 

For one, I found out that I can write and somewhat rhyme.

I also took up the creative rendition of trying my hands at the kitchen desk! To say not the least, every moment, from chopping to plating has a joy untold for words fall short to justify the feelings that hold. 

However, the most thrilling, exhilarating, enjoyable & nerve-wracking experience in my kitchen odyssey has been getting my hands at the confectioner's tray, the soft metal in the colour grey!

Cake, had been the bake for which I could keep sleep at stake, for it usually kept me company when I would break during this lousy viruses take. Cause dear, it really was a delight to make!

And the moment of truth that I value the most, is the understanding & judgment of people and more importantly those of who my real well wishers were, and how I needed to pick out the energy rights and not be swayed by energy mites! 

All in all I am glad for this experience that the lockdown has brought to me. And though days have turned to months and months to another year, this year's revolve has only seen us as species evolve!
