An Ode To Motherhood

Her face ever smiling and aglow,

She raises your spirit when you feel low.

Watching your success, she flushes with pride,

Always finds you, no matter where you hide.

When you took your first step, she held your finger,

Still cherishes those memories and lets them linger.

Her heart blooms seeing you cheer,

Gives you strength, teaching never to fear.

Rising her hands she gives you her bless,

Reminding that you are the best and no less.

Sometimes she scolds you for your own good,

But is the first one to kiss you in your bitter mood.

She toils hard and works all day,

Yet neither complains nor has anything bad to say.

Gives you everything and then some more,

She never makes it sound like a boring chore.

She needs unconditional love, respect, and some space,

Give her those and watch pure joy on her face.

With age, her hair turns to gray,

But will always light up your life like a sunray.

Mother of mine, you are the best of all,

I know you will be there for me, whenever I call.
