An Ode To India

Oh India!

Land of many splendors

Here in are the praises

My loving heart renders

To learn the language

Is not a cinch

And those who've tried

Will agree, same pinch!

There's the beautiful landscape

And so much more!

India's people

Are wow, do they know how

To throw a great party!

The spiritual life

Is vast and enlightening

Though I must admit kali

Is a little bit frightening!

Steeped with traditions

Too many to name

But to miss even one

Would indeed be a shame

A climate so varied

With all kinds of weather

And there you'll find

Beautiful birds of a feature

There's far more to say

And there's so much to see

But until we can go

We all have story mirror.
