Ambivalence

Something doesn't fit 

Something feels out of place 

But I can't figure out 

What keeps me unsettled

A part of me knows 

She feels incomplete 

She's longing for something 

That the other loathes 

A part of me knows 

She feels left out 

She's longing for company 

That the other desolates

A part of me knows 

What she wants 

And that the other thinks

She cannot have 

And all of me knows

That all these thoughts

Make no difference 

But tear me apart
