Alive
Alive
It's raining outside;
I'm sitting in the balcony;
The wind and the rain,
Lashing against each other,
With an occasional lightning spark.
The wind, it's calling out to me,
Come my friend, let me take you
To far off places
Places you've never been to:
Just fly along with me,
I'll show you the world.
The rain, it's telling me,
I have nothing to worry;
Promising a fresh new start.
Just fall along with me,
I'll give you a soft landing.
The lightning, lighting up the night sky.
That sudden flash of light,
Sparking the horizon.
Come along with me, it said;
I'll take you across horizons,
That you've never dared pass.
No sooner have they uttered those words,
I feel myself blowing through unknown places, landing on new earth
and crossing horizons along with them
And I remember feeling alive.
