A Woman Wishes

A Woman Wishes

I don’t want to be equal to man,

No slogan of ‘equality’ and justice,

Let me be ‘me, myself …’

I don’t want to be ‘brave’,

Managing home and out- front,

Burning the candle from both ends,

But brighten up our own dwelling,

Let me be ‘goddess’ of my world,

Just on the name of individuality,

I don’t want to be indifferent,

I don’t want to prove equal to man,

Let me remain dignity personified.

Don’t dress me up with attractive masks

Of ‘mother’, ‘sister’ and ‘partner’

Let me be ‘me, myself…. ’
