The Crossroads of Stories, Soil, and Society
Welcome to this space. You have found a quiet spot on the internet where professional life, creative writing, cultural roots, and community work all come together.
I am Prasanth Prabhakaran, but in the world of books and writing, I go by my pen name, Comrade Monk. By day, I handle the fast-paced corporate world of Dubai, working as a Sales Manager for a private company. But when the workday ends, I return to my true passions—the deep red soil of my hometown, Kollengode in Palakkad (Kerala), and the human stories that connect us all.

Life is never just about one thing; it is a mix of different experiences. This blog is a meeting point for several areas that have shaped my journey:
Literature & Folklore: Writing is how I make sense of the world. I write about human dignity, cultural myths, and the daily struggles of ordinary people. I have published three books on Amazon Kindle: Lt.Col. Jessy (a psychological drama written in English), The Bunch of Tales (short stories about traditional values), and Kattil Piranna Kathakal (stories rooted in nature and survival). I am also working on finishing four more books. Lately, I have been deeply focused on studying Tamil literature and historical stories to explore the deep cultural ties between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Art & Culture: I believe that art should always reflect the real world. Drawing from my background as a State Committee Member of the Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA), I write about local culture, theater, and social photography—using a camera to capture the raw, honest, and beautiful moments of everyday life.
Community & Grassroots: My years in active politics—serving as a Communist Party of India (CPI) Local Committee Assistant Secretary and an All India Youth Federation (AIYF) member—taught me a major lesson. It showed me that beneath every political idea, the most important things in life are basic empathy, justice, and kindness toward one another. Read less
