Day 29
Poem by Sucharita Parija
Beginning Of An End
It will simply begin,
Only when it ends.
The ending has to be,
Always the beginning.
Do not sit back and cry,
Your past is within you,
Let it linger for a while,
You have undone duties,
To complete them now,
Before it disappears.
Begin to move forward,
Rise from the bottom,
Do not look behind you,
Let it go from your hold.
Your path is right ahead,
The changes will occur,
You will have ugly thorns,
Stride on them carefully,
But do not stand there,
Keep moving forward.
You have to be firm,
Fear will creep in
From sidewalks,
But look into the far horizon,
A bright day awaits,
Solely for you.
Enough of your tears,
Wipe them with your thumb.
Be calm from within,
Healing is required,
You have to do it soon,
For you & yourself.
This will be difficult,
But it is best for you!
Time will heal the scars
A new phase awaits,
Go and embrace it,
To make it your own,
Check the old visions,
At the gate of today,
If not, it will engulf you,
In the ocean of anguish.
Do not let it invade you:
Your mind and soul.
I know pain pierces your heart,
It tears you from within.
It broke you apart,
But you are strong,
Show the energy now.
Is this new for you?
Have you not felt,
The grief before?
It will also pass by,
Just keep moving,
With head held high.
Death and Birth,
Accidents & Failure,
They are not related,
But they land at a crossroad,
Where our hands are bound,
We are helpless victims.
The hardest thing
In life is to end it,
And begin anew,
Closing the old one.
A new beginning is perpetual,
The endpoint of the former beginning.
Leave from yesterday,
Leave your footprints,
Let past be hidden there,
Let go of earlier issues.
Now rise like the phoenix,
Just shake off the wings of grief,
Fly beyond the clouds,
Of despair and distress,
Move away from the end,
March ahead with hope.
Always be thankful to God,
You still have time to fill,
And count your blessings,
As you drive away from the end.
*** The ending is not invariably sad.
It can lead to a bright beginning. ***

Day 30
Poem by Sucharita Parija
2 A.M. @ Berry Cafe
'Hey! Sweetie. Listen to me this time.
I will wait for you in the "Berry Cafe."
Do join me at the venue at 2 A.M.
But baby, do not get others with you,
I will be expecting only you there.'
An incoming notification beeped,
I grabbed my mobile,
I read it for the umpteenth time.
Are you for the real, gentleman?
The 2 A.M. is after midnight, idiot.
I am left speechless for a second.
How will I go to such a faraway place?
At 2 A.M.? It is in the dead of night!
It is not safe to sneak out from home.
The cafe is also not next door,
I have to drive through an isolated route,
Nobody will be willing to go with me.
The entire request to join him is rubbish.
I am frantic to meet him these days.
He quickly grasps my implicit emotions.
Is he fiddling with my fluctuating feelings?
I will move there at the chosen date,
The invitation is too tempting to decline.
Our meeting is running late for days.
If someone has a hint of this text,
Then we will be isolated from all.
Should I take this risk for that man?
Where will I go after talking to him?
I have no place to hide on this earth.
Our destinies are twined together;
My belief is dwindling day by day.
Have you seen that secret place?
We cannot meet in open arenas,
And we need to be wary of it.
Have you ever seen that path?
That leads to our secret meet
Where the sun & the horizon greet?
To come face to face in the dark,
In the private corner of the cafe.
We have to meet at night time,
When everything is soundless.
No one has a clue of the meet,
It is reserved for both of us.
I have to lie down and sleep,
Our meeting is at Berry Cafe,
That is in our sweet dreams.
The night is young and clear,
My dreams are also radiant.
I will reach before the time,
I have loads to show him.
I will count the infinite stars,
In case he gets delayed,
To reach & join me there.
The prized invite for me,
Will it keep me lively?
I am impatient & wholly set,
In meeting him after ages.
*** Some emotions can be revealed simply in a fantasy world.
Real meetings are not always admired among two people. ***
