Day 1

Poem by Sutrishna Sen

Mighty Dreams

Eyes full of imaginings and optimism,

eyes that can house unlikely likelihoods,

eyes that dare to sail through

the dead ends of intelligence

can dim the amplitude of your voice, and

You can’t control eyes like those for long.

The bright suns in them can paralyze your fire!

So, when you ask me

If suppression is powerful, I say dreams are mightier.

Day 2

Poem by Pia Krishnan

Entangled

Inside my head

Reside countless illusions

Like tangled tufts.

The more I strive to unravel

The tighter they bind and bond,

Shaping up notions

Beyond emotions.

Day 3

Poem by Joy Moitra

Wind song

Can you hear the wind sing?

I can, but not today

When the wind sings, I laugh

At sweet memories wafting through

It’s a song of good times aeons ago

Times when I was naive

And mankind was kind

Times when someone held your hand

And loved you when you cried

Is the wind singing today?

If it is, may be for someone else

Not me, not my troubled soul

In my heart; perhaps I am foul

Perhaps it’s not the world

Where I was born

Perhaps I wasted myself

And ran errands

In a different space

Where time stood still

And the wind lost its voice

This morning to the wind I say

Sing if you ever may

Waiting for an answer still

Day 4

Poem by Bijal Pandya

I see her smile, she runs to me

Warmth in my hug she finds

She looks at me with all trust that be

In me, she believes in all kinds

I hug her tight, with all my might

And repeat my promise to her

I stand right, with her in sight

As both our dreams clear

I say to her, "My dear, the one who wants to learn

How much can I do

Only a candle you need to earn

Reaching the end of darkness thereto

As skies and seas call for their due

Worry not my child

Soar your ways and bid adieu

As hurdles look so mild

You have the power, you have the soul

You have the years that call for more

You are the diamond in the coal

You are the coral at the core"

Day 5

Poem by Ratna Kaul Bhardwaj

The Depths Of Loneliness

The brewed liquor of the past night

Swept the day's cheer, the sunshine,

Shallow laughter through endless nights

Piles upon the mind, the real me decline.

Couch beneath the chandelier reflecting luxury

Sings unstoppable tunes, but words lost,

Chilliest breeze creeping in, sends a shrill

Shadow on the wall, a less wild ghost.

Then consciousness returns like a spark

Breath stimulates the soul and mind,

Heavens! It gives hurts, nothing more

Conversation with self, less kind.

Such strings, I am ready to let go

Shall somebody hold me never before!

Then I am seated on a golden cloud

Ready to fly with a compassionate core..............

Day 6

Poem by Sunil Rajagopal

The Ruins of Mandu

Time knows no rest,

All days must walk west;

Kings and their deeds gather dust,

Their swords taken by rust;

Beauty of Queens is as frost,

Melting in to grass and lost;

The towers of men fallen apart,

Amidst gnarled Baobabs looming apart;

Only the rain and wind remain,

To whisper their tales again

Day 7

Poem by Dinakar Reddy

Exchanged (from Tailored Memories)

In exchange for smiles,

I sacrificed my name,

In exchange for hugs,

I sacrificed my money,

In exchange for chats,

I sacrificed my sleep,

In exchange for cuddles,

I sacrificed my identity,

In exchange for lust,

I sacrificed my relations,

In exchange for meetings,

I sacrificed my luck,

In exchange for love,

I sacrificed my soul.

Day 8

Poem by Perpetual Danica Fernandes

Live like there is no tomorrow.

And love like you’re ready,

ready to be ripped apart.

Forgiving is easy, forgetting is hard.

Letting go of the anger, there is your start.

Focus on the journey, drop the baggage.

Heal yourself, and mend your heart.

Day 9

Poem by Sutrishna Sen

Not Afraid to Die

So many die, we forget so many,

look for replacements, walk new alleys.

Rituals of birth, rites of death,

rituals at the entry and exit of breath.

Rituals as a reverence to the life of relationships.

These don’t mean being high and dry.

As no one is actually afraid to die.

We created ceremonies

as hopes of permanence

in the face of the truth!

As nothing stays.

It’s the fear to live all alone, all along.

Attempt to hold onto something, have something to live for,

Something to live with, if not everyone, or the only one

But someone to share the same seconds with us.

Day 10

Poem by Pia Krishnan

The Illusion Game

From abodes of sunken

Flags and strolls

Awaiting the treasure seekers

Arouse the myth of a legend,

His tales untold.

For he has lived through the magic and mystery,

Knows no one his origin, his destiny.

Lashing the whirlwind,

The steamer cruised

Through the melted molten rocks.

Them screeches, then whispers,

Perished in silence

With every soul he seized.

The winter chills crawl up my bones,

Tremble when I take his name,

Him Destruction;

As the Seigneur of Gods pay homage to his fleet,

Surrender to be destroyed.

None rise above the mighty storms

Of the serpentine scoundrel.

He, a Sovereign of filchers

Or a Solitary Reaper,

Little do I know.

Mightier than the Magoi

Dexterous than the Druid

He endured in an entity

Away from the fairy tales and wretched witches.

No Winters of Solstice;

No Springs of Equinox.

Did he abide in the world of magic moons?

He, no defender of destitute;

His language a mystery.

I rambled on,

Espying the treasures he conjured,

Casting spells in Celtic months.

Beneath the remains

Within the caverns

Abyss the oceans;

In an obscured entity lies his mystery.

I, the barbarian wrath,

Evolved through the paralysed clouds,

The scattered moons

And the carcass starry skies

With tremendous occult powers.

I; the Avenger with Winged Wheels.

When the sun burns down,

I explore the world beyond;

The darkness the void beholds

Where freedom and freewill prevails.

Endeavour to embrace him

With all your might

To his guts and glory.

I unleash the fathomless abyss;

The infinite cosmic elements

One after the other,

Incessantly manifesting.

As I prowled, I stumbled on

Not just once but a million times.

I cruised in wilder vicinities boundlessly.

He is Mayhem and Madness,

Arise for freedom and freewill,

Fading my illusions.

Day 11

Poem by Joy Moitra

Land of hope

Sunshine

On blue mountains

Rippling waves

Boats sailing

To an unknown land

Full of hope

Destiny’s child

Hands clasped

Dreaming big

Life’ made

Love forfeited

To dust and ruins!

Day 12

Poem by Ratna Kaul Bhardwaj

Genocide! A Tale?

Silent, slow, jittered

Each step full of fear,

I crossed that old lane

The eye blinked with a tear;

Decades, I had been away

Now a gaze at the door,

Deep shiver in nerves

The majestic look was no more;

Scared of tall masked faces

Heavily laced with granade and sniper

A thought, if impede my path

And ask my business there;

Yet, I dared to push the door

with moderate pressure,

A sound quacked

Adding soft noise to air;

Dull walls, webbed hinges

All over landed plaster,

Floundered were nerves

Beyond comprehension, the disaster;

Spiders home, the curated hangings

Majestic couches, mouses burrow,

Cracked walls, trickling drops

Deep silence resounding sorrow;

Memories sentimentally yearned

Mind scanned the past,

Present lost consciousness

A reel revealed fast;

Bright stars , dull moon

Hiding eyes, yet sharp glance,

A giggling child smartly dressed

Entered the main entrance;

Playing laughingly, joyfully

Jumping on set of stairs,

No danger, caution and trust

Feet circling on marble floors;

The greens, the madness, the fantasy

Loveliest feelings, none would steal,

The world of love and joy

Compassionate dome! As a whole;

Sudden harsh tapping on the door

Piercing the air, tearing the ears,

Panic within the walls of the dome

Faded faces, trembling limbs, the air full of fears;

Tall humans, masked faces

The luscious dishes on the floor,

Eight innocents against the wall

Where to flee? Windows shut, latched the door;

Papa, grandpa on their knees

Begging for what! The child unaware,

Hoarse voice, blazing eyes

Few bullets dropped the chandelier;

Another bullet left the gun

Grandpa showered in blood,

Six of others in a deep shiver, as

Grany's body too turned cold;

"Leave the valley! You kafirs"

Read that pasted white sheet,

Under nature's dark curtains

Disappeared that fleet;

Heavy breaths, bare feet

Six of them reached roadside,

Joined the frantic crowd there

Here was the "Genocide";

Crammed in army trucks

No food, no water, no sleep,

Mournful cries faces wet

Unheard, unrealised, the pain deep;

Evicted, uprooted, traumatic

Laughter's locked in boxes wooden,

Heavy chests all over

Suffocating! The burden;

A sudden quack of the door

Knocked back the consciousness,

Neck rolled backwards

Four eyes asked my presence;

My right index pointed to the wall

To a dusted frame, cracks in glass,

Two brutal hands reached the target

Fearless were the eyes, no regrets, Alas!

I laughed! No tremble anymore

Gathered the frame cautiously,

Few visiting cards left my pocket

And now courage gathered consciously;

I left them standing there

Gazing at the visiting cards,

Danger and death had changed shores

Brave my community, the stalwarts;

Mine! Tough journey of 30 years

Me! A CEO of a big brand,

Thine! Same tenure, aimless journey

Still holding snipers, same trend;

They are not over it yet

Muddled brains are still tamed,

Pure conscience, when wrapped in ignorance

Who in the world, be blamed?.....

Day 13

Poem by Sunil Rajagopal

Those that we call mother

Dip by dip

she washes our sins,

drip by drip

we poison her soul;

Drop by drop

she fills our bellies,

bit by bit

we steal her life;

Leaf by leaf

she grows our world,

Yard by yard

we tear her apart;

Brick by brick

she built our lives,

day by day

we leave her alone;

Step by step

she walks beside us,

prick by prick

we bleed her more;

Why do we not

see what we do,

to those who

we call Mother?

Day 15

Poem by Anmol Kaur Mongia

In the vast blue sky,

The eagle, above obstacles, flies, The thrushes flying in a herd, Here nothing is absurd.

With the stretch of green,

Oh! All this looks so serene,

The specks of red,

Deck the tree from bottom to head.

The beautiful pearls that drop down, Remind me to be grateful and never frown, The soothing sound that warms the heart, Reminds that He always walks along

till eternity, right from start.

And then, the mix of orange and yellow, The sweet fragrance of the mellow,

A call to be back home,

Birds are headed back after a roam.

All over the ground, as the feathers hover,

Because by tomorrow, new feathers will be spread all over, After a patient wait,

Comes a diamond, which powerfully radiates.

Radiates rays of love and compassion

Towards a couple and manifold increase their affection. Everything swayed in the heaven’s above,

When Almighty made your alliance,

overflowing with His blessings and love.

Day 16

Poem by Zaid Nebi

YOU WILL FIND PAIN IN ME!

This one drop in tears,

Even if you sweep an empire,

With the rain of boons,

Spread the desolation...

With the vibrations of wishes,

Wake the fountain solitary,

On the smile of hope,

Rob my despair...

Even in shabby wires,

Complicate my mood,

In the cups of these eyelids,

Spill the infusion of happiness...

In my scattered life,

Relieve all compassion,

In my short range,

Erase my existence...

But it will not be left,

My life,

Find you in pain,

You will find pain in me...!!!

Day 17

Poem by Zaid Nebi

NEVER GONNA END!

You are a friend,

Who never goes offend,

Be it those jokes,

Be it making fun of you,

Hope this bond,

This friendship is never gonna end...!!!

Day 18

Poem by Dinakar Reddy

Meet at the Horizon

(from Tailored Memories)

From the eyes of evil,

And from the talks of self-hate,

From the gossiping machines,

And from the arguments of negativity,

From the lustful proposals,

And from the urges that blurs self-improvement,

From the fake lifestyles,

And from the disturbing fads,

Let us escape from the cold people,

And let us meet at the horizon.

Day 19

Poem by Jury Nishant Vaidya

It's a heavy word,

Which can cut like a sword,

You have to be careful with your word,

Fir that you have to ask strength from Lord.

It differs from person to person,

Some may have more and some may have some,

Always wait for the right time to come,

As it all starts from home.

It's an emotion,

To be done with full devotion,

Don't think about promotion,

Just stick to your plans and be with the motion.

Day 20

Poem by Jury Nishant Vaidya

"We all love to dream,

If it doesn't happen that way we scream,

It's like a thick cream,

But no one is in one team.

All have different aims,

They have their own ice and flames,

We all play our different games,

That's why we are born with different names.

Dream is just to satisfy you,

How much you are true,

Nothing in this world is new,

But you just have to focus hoe to go through."

Day 21

Poem by Dinakar Reddy

What's so cranky about it,

You missed those days,

Right?

Those days of running to home,

After school's final bell rang,

Those times of asking extra paani while eating Pani poori,

Waiting for a new movie to watch on TV,

With more advertisements,

Suddenly it looks like everything is gone,

That scheduled secret meetings on Sundays,

To play cricket in the summer,

Buying the songbooks for one rupee,

Hiding them in class books,

You miss them,

We all miss those beautiful innocent,

That simple but nostalgic moment,

Ring your buddies once,

Visit those empty playgrounds,

Touch the classrooms,

Discuss at your favorite cafe,

With a smile on your face,

Tell this adulting,

Or warn it seriously,

That it can't make you freaky,

Show your mind the new sunshine.

Day 22

Poem by Dinakar Reddy

Your clothes are not fashionable,

It's okay I am not an Instagram model,

You do not have great knowledge,

It's okay I can survive,

His answers are not weird,

But they were unique,

Sometimes they deeply hit,

Other times they show us the new path,

People called him names,

Crazy and hippie,

Sometimes Boho,

But,

They used to get influenced,

By his eyes,

The art in his eyes,

Never failed to amaze them,

The art in his heart,

Never went out of kindness.

Day 23

Poem by Dinakar Reddy

The road was messy,

So his mind,

Thoughts were frenzy,

He drove crazy,

When the little girl rushed for the ball,

The ball bought her to the road,

When she about to step,

A woman came into rescue,

When no one has seen it,

An angel was born in the woman,

The little girl got saved,

The woman lost her ability to walk,

And went into darkness,

Under the tyres screeching sounds.

Day 24

Poem by Dinakar Reddy

I don't have a love story,

So I made up one,

I don't possess many luxuries,

So I lied,

I lied every time,

Every minute of the day,

When we were together,

I felt avarice,

I justified my actions,

I sold some secrets,

One of them is yours,

But,

It was not intentional,

When people already liking the new me,

I never received your opinions from my older self.

Day 26

Poem by Nishant Vaidya

Writer's: An Endangered Species

Writers are humble,

Yea sometimes they fumble,

They look beyond the bubble,

Trying to remove all the trouble.

They sometimes fall and stumble,

They have very few people to mumble,

Their words are always a jumble,

We just have to figure out the puzzle.

Their poetries are like tunnel,

Don't worry you don't have to struggle,

They may sometimes grumble,

Don't think that their feelings are crumble.

They love to laugh and fight,

Talk with someone loved the whole night,

They always want to throw light,

Because in the end they know that their pen is always right

Day 27

Poem by Dinakar Reddy

There were always discussions about working women,

There were always discussions about work-life balance,

Mother! You work lifetime for us,

No wages, Only love matters to you,

Can you have it all?

Poem by Pia Krishnan

Wisdom Chants

Time is the fortune teller.

Every morrow brings hope

And magnifies greed,

Hammering the essence of peace,

Forbidding the queen of serenity.

Minds are remnants,

Phiz coveted.

Ever wondered

The journey

From womb to tomb?

That’s all you got

To brag and be here!
