Thirteenth Birthday...

Looking at the sunset, I recalled my 13th birthday.

Holding a treasure of sweet box, in my new clothes with a radiating smile I was visiting my friend's house. I still remember Rahul's mom giving me the Camlin camel watercolours as a token of blessing. On my way to sneha's home I stopped at my favourite park to meet the ice-cream vendor and offered the sweet to him and in return he gave me my favourite butterscotch cone ice-cream. Placing the sweet box over the bench where I sat to finish my ice-cream peacefully. Licking my cone, I was looking at the kids playing at seesaw. Suddenly I realised someone sitting beside me. In her red frock with a high pony holding all the beauty of this world interspersed with the cutest smile, she looked at me.

I smiled and offered her a sweet telling it's my birthday. She showed her hands with dirt and said "happy birthday but my hands are dirty". Then I took the sweet and said "then open your mouth". With all magic in her eyes, she smiled and opened her mouth. Placing the sweet in her mouth I asked "what's your name?" She, telling me to wait with her gesture of hands chew and gulped the stuff in her mouth. Then, she smiled and said "thank you" placing a kiss over check. The curious me again asked " but your name?" .Smile was the only answer she gave and left the park. Me, in a stage of euphoria just started at her leaving the park."
