The Milkmaid's Dream

There once lived a milkmaid whose name was Rose. She had one cow that provided her with milk. The woman lived in a small house that had some bowls, spoons a stove and a small bed. One day, after her cow gave her milk, she went to the local market with the milk. As she was walking, she was also dreaming about what she could do with the money she got by selling the milk. She was dreaming this- '' I could sell the milk and also save some money. Then using some of the money that I saved, I could buy a chicken. It would lay eggs and I would sell the eggs and also keep some for me. The rest of the eggs that are left, I could sell them and save some more money. With some of the money that I have saved, I can buy a new dress for myself, maybe two.

The dress that I no longer want to wear, I will sell it. I, after selling the dress, will get more money. and with some of the money, I can even buy another house! and along with that, I will sell my house to get more money. then I will have lots of money which I can use for buying more chickens. Those chickens will lay so many eggs and I will of course sell them and also keep some to hatch. The ones that will later hatch, will grow and lay more eggs. I will sell the eggs and make lots and lots of money! I will also buy another cow which will give milk for me to sell and I will save a lot of money. everyone will be jealous of me as I will have loads of money. ''

She had no attention on the road she was walking on and was dreaming. she did not see that a small pit had formed as a piece of rock from the road was taken off by someone. Her attention was on her dream, so she fell down because of the ''small pit''. the milk pot that she was holding, fell down along with her. The milk in the pot fell out of the pot and got dirty. She was crying as she was hurt and also as she had lost her milk and ruined her dream. She went home, crying. You can imagine what would have happened next. Think and imagine and maybe you can tell me what you think would have happened.
