Mom and Child

As he sleeps on his mother’s lap,

the boy,

he thinks he is protected from all the woes of the world.

What more would she wish, what essence?

other than fondness-full bonds of his innocence.

The world is huge, and his mother is a part of it.

And in the child’s canvas, she is such big.

When he dreams, he cries sometimes,

but he smiles when his mother tries calming him with bed-time rhymes.

When he is awake, he does naughty things,

and makes the mother run after him all over the place.

The mother wishes he grows up soon,

but after he grows up,

they shall miss the child’s world’s fun!
