You did not know me

Nor did I know you

It’s just a coincidence

That we met;

You did not say a word

Nor did I speak to you

It was well written

In our fate;

 

But your eyes were on me

And mine were fixed on you

It was just like that

You could say;

Your heart ran fast

And mine was faster

It was the love

That came into play;

 

You stood before the mirror,

I asked my friends & foes

It was the habit

I gave a false reason;

Your nod I understood

As you blushed at my smile

We were two culprits

Locked in love’s prison;

 

You turned and waved hand

I blew kisses in the air

It was nothing serious

Both of us thought;

In the sea of faces

We looked for each other

And if it was not love

Then what for Heaven’s help

We earnestly sought.
