Ode To Mom And Dad
Ode To Mom And Dad
I have no words for what you have done,
And I am so privileged that I am your son
You counseled me when I did something bad,
Thank you for making me gentleman, dad.
You taught me how to become good elder brother,
Credit goes to you my mother
It takes nine months to download a mother app,
Thank you mom for helping me faces the hindrances in my life’s road map.
You resisted me as cumbersome little boy,
Who always pestered you for a toy.
They took care of me like I was a precious gem,
How can I even think of ill treating them?
You made me adroit so that I could live life that no one could exploit,
You taught me how to walk and talk
And go to a door and do knock-knock.
You gave me a direction; you gave me a track,
After few years, to you, it will all come back
You taught me how to groom myself,
How to apply the cream kept on the shelf
You taught me how to gleam in dark,
And ignore the dogs, as their job is to bark.
In me you set ablaze a spark,
So that in this big world I could make a mark.
There is always a lot more to say,
But without the words I don’t see a way.
Now allow me to take leave, if I may
But still one thing is left to say,
Today, my parents, I am proud of you
For all thoughtful things you do.
I will support you till your days are done
And I am so grateful that I am your son.
