Our Solar System
Our Solar System
Beyond the Earth
And beyond the moon,
Lies Our Solar system
From the Sun to Neptune.
First comes the Sun
And it is a star,
A hot ball of fire
Of course, it is far.
Then comes Mercury
A ball full of iron,
Roams around the sun
Without any companion.
Then comes Venus
The same size as Earth,
It is the one spinning
backwards
And hasn't given water,
birth.
Our dear Earth comes next
With life and water and everything to rest,
It has a companion called the Luna
And indeed our planet is the best.
Next comes Mars
Also called as the Red Planet,
Situated just before the Asteroid Belt
With the highest mountains here set.
The Asteroid Belt comes later
And we clearly understand by its name,
It is a belt full of asteroids
To escape isn’t a game.
After them comes Jupiter
The biggest and fastest,
An icy gas giant
Has storms but not the windiest.
Saturn’s the next one
With rings so beautiful,
The sixth planet from the sun
And ice, rocks and dust are plentiful.
The one after it is Uranus
It gives Venus company,
As it also spins backwards
And the name’s kind of funny
The last one is Neptune
The one with the windiest storms,
The farthest one from the sun
And has moons of all forms.
Beyond the Earth
And beyond the moon,
Lies our Solar System
From the Sun to Neptune.
