My Teacher

I met a person,

Who’s like a candle?

Helps others find their way,

And never lets them go astray.

Pulls them out of the darkness,

And into their light.

Leading others into the right,

Making our lives oh so bright.

This person teaches us about the ways of life,

And about many other things that our right.

A candle they are,

As sweet as sugar.

The most righteous person I know,

To them my whole career I owe.

They taught me everything, 

So to these wonderful people, I say,

A Happy Teachers Day!
