In those cold winter months
I waited for a beautiful summer
Naive as I was, I wished it would come soon
Spending months in agony, waiting for love

Sleepless nights are all I know
Those I spent talking to the moon
Spilling my dirty secrets
And the amount of love I have for you

I have died a thousand times before this
Only to watch the sunrise the next morning
And just like that, I forget the night before
And the monsters that screamed in my head

I don't know what happened to us over two years
Once we were so in love the world seemed pretty
Now we drown in our depression away from love
You look for me but I wish to dash away from you

And we don't get to be together
But we still breathe under the same sky
And the moon watched over you
For days I have struggled to keep my promise
