Yin And Yang

Yin and Yang,

Complement each other as woman and man.

Two halves of a whole,

When joined together become one soul.

The existence of a shadow in light,

Is certain like day precedes night.

Two individual opposing forces,

Interconnected have supported each other throughout the ages.

The dance of duality,

Where interdependence is the key.

The perfect balancing act,

Where the sum is greater than the punch the parts pack.

Yin represents the side in the shade,

Yang being the sun, lighting up everything in its wake.

For doesn't it take two to tango,

Else wouldn't there be a no-show?

But what I don't like about this philosophy,

Is that Yin represents a lady.

Yang being the ever glorious male,

For me this is where the philosophy fails.

I agree that both are two sides of a coin,

But why should one be weak and the other strong? Shouldn't this be re-coined.
