Uncertain Rain
Uncertain Rain
You seem just like the dews,
Only difference is you come without any clue.
Touch the chilly air, making it colder by the day,
"Sometimes a boon, sometimes a bane to the mortals" that's what the people say.
Angels bathe in you, color of their robes mingle in the sky,
Making it crimson and brownish red,
Coloring the white star's bed.
You make no sound until you touch the ground,
You give the dead grass a life new found.
Pitter-Patter you fall on the streets,
Right beside them where the lovers meet.
Thinking about nights like this,
When thousands of such,
Lovers confess their sweet bliss.
Vowing to love each other forever,
Promising to let go of their bodies but their souls never.
Now speaking of the dead,
Who feel more alive instead.
Feeling nothing yet feeling everything,
Such is the power of this heavenly spring.
Kids dance along the puddles swaying here and there,
While the grownups regard the unwanted monsoon as not fair.
The leaves calmly stand still,
Allowing the naughty drops to drench them to their hearts fill.
Mixed is the reaction of this uncertain world-to this uncertain rain,
Drenching every heart and every lane.
