Trapped Child
Trapped Child
Cute face, so nice like pardise
Pale looks, untrimmed hair locks.
Cheeks so dusty appears nasty.
Clothes torn into itsy bitsy.
Listless gaze helpless stage
Earnest looks at school
Everyone inside so cool
Ragbag clings on the shoulder.
The child looks so older
Picking up garbage.
That is an important baggage.
Alas, O Child you have stopped
Stopped being a child
Many welfare measures
Launched by administrators
Never reach to you for ages passing and passing for ages.
The word child labour is annoying.
Keeps many activists worrying.
I wonder if ther is any remedy.
For this age long tragedy
Wishing things would get better,
If not today then a bit later.
