The Truth of a Poet!
The Truth of a Poet!
All poets are liars
All of us are thieves!
They talk about snatching stars
From the skies and presenting
Those to their beloved
Isn't it a lie and won't they be thieves
Because stars can't be snatched
And stars belong to skies!
We talk about snatching colors
From flowers and butterflies
And pin them upon
our lover's sleeves
If a poem is an aquarium
We color it with blues
And fill it with pearls
And silverfish shoals
But poetry has different logics
Do not compare it
If you can't comprehend it
Don’t try to measure it
On your mundane standards
If you can't understand them
Don't call them names!
