The Impact
The Impact

From the corner of my balcony
I paved the way for myself
I dropped some food and money
And felt happy for the self.
The deep gloomy eyes glimmered away
Grabbed what was dropped at the bottom
Paid no heed to me and just walked away
Unthankful and wanting 'many' and 'some'.
The stare left the lasting impression
The eyes looked at my gaze, not my hands
They demanded heartfelt words no donation
What I spoilt and lost now who mends?
I remained the 'giver' but she gave away,
Looking for her to present what she left with me.
