The Exile

Being a migrant is like,

Exiled by circumstances !

Wanted to remain in native,

But situations denied the stay;

And made me an alien.

Today I am allowed

Indefinite leave to remain.

Struggled a lot to get this status,

Since ten years !

Family is happy

But I am not !

Longing inconveniences

In all conveniences here,

That I am missing intensely.

Want to be a part of huddle

With my fellows.

Here I am standing in a queue,

Keeping safe distance

To honour the decency.

But kindly listen to me !

Please dishonour me,

And return me back,

To my unmannerly fellows !
