Sunday Siesta

Sundays are fun days,

My body gets to rest from juggling shift job,

My hair gets oiled to avoid dryness,

My tongue celebrates the taste,

Lately, I can wake,

I go out to shop some groceries,

I buy two magazines at least,

I feed sparrows and water plants,

Sundays are washing days,

My clothes including inners,

Which waited to bath soak in detergent,

Gets happy on Sunday,

Sundays are tasty days,

I cook something special by seeing on YouTube,

I watch some classic on TV,

After so much consuming A.R.RAHMAN and ILAYARAJA music,

I will have a Sunday Siesta,

I recharge my body and mind by reading a novel,

By solving the sudokus and by jumping and dancing to the latest number in solitude,

Sundays are meeting days,

I go out in the evening,

Meeting an old friend over a chai,

Makes the Sunday complete and eternal.
