Rainy Day

It was a hot and sultry day,

The trees stood silent and motionless.

Suddenly clouds began to gather in the sky,

The sun went behind the clouds.

Then came heavy rain,

People ran here there seeking shelter.

There was water everywhere,

And, the sputtering of big raindrops produced.

A piece of strange music,

As soon as the rain stopped,

Children came out rushing.

They ran through the water shouting loud.

How sweetly they made rain their toy.
