Race With Self

I feared it,

The feeling of envy,

Beating me up, 

Of the joy I possess,

Of being myself,

And not having to prove,

Of what I am,

Less compared to what the world expects me of,

As of the higher bar they set me to,

A superior around me.

I ain't to compete,

I am good by myself,

I just as fine, 

In a race with myself.
