Outing With Friends

To Unshackle ourselves from

The virtual world;

To free ourselves from the

The clutches of an addictive phone;

To avoid virtual connections

And to interact face to face;

We the frolicsome friends

Planned an outing theme;

And deemed it compulsory

For each one's presence;

We barged into a mall

Pranced helter-skelter;

Chatted endlessly as if

There was no tomorrow;

Treated ourselves to tasty snacks

And clicked selfless selfies;

Fancied the bonhomie

Of our camaraderie;

Savoured its essence

To the fullest;

And beat a hasty retreat

With heartening byes;

Only to plan

A prospective outing again!
