But it's been hard to say in rhymes

I'll try once more and hope you'll see

Just what your love has meant to me

You taught me how to walk

And you taught me how to talk

You provided a roof over my head

And always made sure I was fed

Your unconditional love

Made me happy, strong, secure

Your teaching and example

Made me confident, mature

Thank you for the pain at birth

That brought me to life on Earth
