Lost

Where have all the dragons gone?

Where lies hidden 

All the magic and the mystery?

Where have all my daydreams

Of fantasy and intrigue, 

Of monsters and men and even mightier beasts gone?

Oh! where have all my heroes gone;

Cloaked in glory, swathed in gold

And even those adorned in humble robes?

Tell me please,

Where my queens hide?

Or were they hidden 

Far away from mortal eyes?

I think they are

Tucked away in the crumbling,

Dusty, yellow pages 

Of a book long forgotten,

A story long lost.
