Idle Thoughts On A Rainy Day

I was wondering today

Since Halloween is coming soon

If on Diwali this year

I carve out pumpkin lanterns

What would people say?

Will I be trolled for wasting food?

Or lauded for going natural

Ridiculed for spending time and thought

And not following traditions?

Will someone say something good?

And what is there to celebrate?

They say the earth is doomed

Are human beings to blame?

Because they live too long and well

Thus they changed the climate?
