Hope

The slumbering leaves awaken with the drop of the morning dew

The night moves out giving way to the dawn, afresh and anew

Slowly stretching and refreshing the thoughts from yesterday’s residue

Reminds me of all the hard work ahead, plenty and due

But fret not, for today is brand new and unlike the past

Coz I have yet another 24 hours to toil hard and fast

Enjoy every moment, from the first till the last

Gear up, move forward and go full blast

At the end of a long day the sun simmers down

The horizon sparkles with orange about to drown

I look up and reminisce about the day’s ups and downs

I realize the strength hiding beneath my gown

I fear not of failure but fear losing hope

For anyone can manage any situation and cope

This optimistic thought keeps me alive and awake

For I have yet another morning awaiting a retake
