Home To Stay!!!
Home To Stay!!!
OK, so today I had the opportune
To see a jungle pard,
Oh, the mighty jungle cat,
Just strolled into my backyard.
No, it did not mew like my Snow white,
My furball, pet cat,
It roared its thunderous greeting,
Putting me on my guard, as I sat.
So this, leopard, it seems, somehow
Escaped its wondrous home,
Only to find repose in close vicinity
Of human civilization, to roam!
Strolling lazily, the great cat seems
But at peace, in my abode,
I wonder, how I can tell him,
He is unsafe, on this concrete road.
The animals of my kind,
Will soon be informed,
They will strategize your capture,
Like preying vultures swarmed.
They will come with their sticks,
Guns, nets, weapons and all.
I hope they are human enough to leave you
Under the cover of trees, really tall
Oh, I remember, my kind
Has but cut the tall trees down,
Could that be the reason,
You strolled into my ground.
Oh dear, I pray, there is
Some cover left for you,
For this human jungle is worse
Than the animals of your hue.
We lack respect for our own kind,
And all we know is to destroy,
You my friend, unlike us, attack
When you feel threatened by a ploy.
Stop growling, they are here,
The forest guys to take you away,
No, not a zoo,
But these are few who care,
They will find you your home,
The very HOME to STAY!!!
