Grasshopper And The Ants
Grasshopper And The Ants
As the ants worked,
Day and night for wheat,
The grasshopper sat,
Singing the song of summer retreat.
As the ants worked,
Making their home comfortable and hot,
The grasshopper was busy,
Preparing against ants some plot.
When the chills came,
Ants enjoyed the fire of the wood,
But the poor grasshopper,
Begged for each grain of food.
So be like little ants,
And learn from them,
Don't be like the grasshopper,
And don't think I will do it then,
Otherwise, you will be like,
The grasshopper who always beg,
For each grain of bread.
