Forgive Us
Forgive Us
Dear diary,
A poem, I wanted to write from heart to the mother nature, a squirrel inspired me to write it, no matter humans are in crisis, she was busy collecting her meal, and strikes strikes glance at me.
Forgive us,
For the pain, you went in.
Forgive us,
for not noticing the pain you went in.
Forgive us,
For the pain, we gave to our sibling.
Forgive us,
For the exploitation, we did to you.
Forgive us,
For testing your patience while we lived in comfort.
Forgive us,
For protecting us, for our well being.
The lockdown of us has given freedom to the other species.
The lockdown of us brought back the birds of history.
The lockdown of us has pacified the rivers and moon with silence.
The lockdown of us has recovered the asthmatic nature.
There is no greed, in the love of nature.
But our love has selfish in us.
I, you, we and we belong to the human race.
Where it should belong to all life forms.
Forgive us, we learned our mistake.
Universe has sent a warning,
We will awake from this call.
Nature belongs to everyone,
Wealth and health should belong to everyone,
with we being part of the crowd.
But will we change?
From this warning by sacrificing comfort
for our fellow life forms?
Or nature is right as usual?
