Disguise
Disguise
What say?
Were they
Friends with two faces
Or flatterers who left
Indelible traces;
Forlorn thoughts
Captivate my mind,
Wondering were those real memories that I left behind,
Memories were real,
Though friends proved to be
Just hypocrites fitted in true ideal
True friends, oh-so-called
As the fake picture hauled,
Sweetly the bitten soul of mine
Overpowered by their subtle shine,
Had no will of its own,
Realises on spilt milk she mourned
No point there was then
To fetch the bone,
They weren't marbles
But mere pieces of stone
True it is,
All glitters aren't gold,
The knot of friendship
Is too fragile to hold,
Let's be wise enough to know
There is always a thin line
Between
A Friend or a foe
