Companionship

Battling the hardships,

I come home in your embrace.

You gaze into my worn out eyes,

And pull me in your quilt like space.

You wrap my eyes with a black silk cloth,

And ask me to wait until called not.

You pull my waist and untie the blinds.

I am lost for words as the room looks divine

Tea lights, macaroons, and John Legend playing;

You slip your hands in mine,

I lean my face on your shoulder'

Now I feel fine.

Let me whisper something in your ears today,

You are my synonym for home.
