Appealing Life
Appealing Life
Life in the village is mesmerizing
Gemmed with all that is called serendipity
Attracting all life to its core within.
Simple is life in them
With a tiled home
And vast field to sow.
A turban on head
Is the honor of everyone
With a mustache on the face.
Oxen two yoked together
Plowing the fields behind
For the next crop in line.
Children chirping like free birds
Under sky blue, hopping in green so live
Enjoying their true childhood.
Lift up your eyes
The world around is dipped in green
That steals the heart from within.
Simple is their living
With cooking on wood
In an earthen pot, that is taste bound.
Finger-liking tastier it was
As I tasted that simple cabbage potato masala
Cooked in an earthen pot over wood with minimal spice.
Though I am an urbanarian
Yet I long to be there in the village
Donned in simplicity but blessed in humanity.
